3 Square Weaves and customization tutorial [pdf]

These three Square Weave patterns (Herringbone, Fence, and Square Knots) were discovered between October and November 2019. They represent the first explorations of a family of weave tessellations, and the tutorial teaches you how to make your own variations.

All of these weave patterns (and variations of them) can be folded directly from a square grid with no additional precreasing required.

Crease patterns show several repeats of the motif. Red lines represent mountain folds and blue dashed lines represent valley folds.
