The heart turns into moving lips when the card is opened. Designed and folded by Linda MacFarlane See PDF diagrams.

I was thinking of folds in my head, trying to design a standing card. I visualized some steps and was ready to put hands to paper. When I’m folding, I tend to see things that I didn’t know would be there, and I got derailed from following my visualized design. I kept folding here and there, a little shaping, and then came the magic: The card shows a heart when standing and kissing lips (the upper lip moves) when the card is opened and closed.

So, send your sweetheart a Valentine’s Day card, and seal it with a kiss, which appears when it’s opened to read your handwritten message inside. The Kissy Heart Card is fun to fold and fun to watch in action. And it’s easy to fold. Remember, when you make the card, the lip color is facing up to start. Enjoy, and Happy Valentine’s Day.

A big thanks to Chris Alexander for his skilled diagramming of the model.

something doesn't seem right on the diagram to produce a 'card that opens. To fold & insert into the only pocket locks the card together. I suppose that a person might hunch that they have to pull the paper out to 'unlock it, but why not fold the other corner over in step #3 which then leaves the 'card' open as pictured.

Yes, fold the right corner in at step #3 to create an open standing card highlighting the lips. To create a card with a stand to highlight the heart, fold as diagrammed.
