Lupines are common wildflowers in the pea family (Fabaceae), characterized by their bilaterally symmetrical pink, blue, violet, or white flowers which grow on an inflorescence. This PDF contains instructions to make one flower; to make a whole inflorescence, use 20-30 squares of decreasing size, with the largest sheet being no larger than 5 cm x 5 cm; once folded, flowers can be arranged spirally around a wire stem with glue and florist's tape with the larger flowers gradually tapering to the smaller flowers near the tip of the stem. Though based on a bird base, this design has some tricky elements (including closed sinks) and closes out at 58 steps. Good luck and happy folding!
