Here we fold a double-colored Bookmark in Kazakh style, plated with symbolic trident - key element of national ornament. Being a quite simple geometric form, this element gives origin to plenty of more complicated ornamental motifs known as "örken" - 'sprout', "qoshqar müyiz" - 'ram horns', "qus qanat" - 'bird wings', "gülder", "güldenu" - 'flowers', 'prosperity', and many others which still are meaningful both in ancient Nomadic cultural code and in modern Kazakhstani decorative tradition. "Naiza" means 'Spear' (or, particular, a trident) in Kazakh, and refers to the key ornamental element. So, if you love reading and folk styles and Origami - this class might be interesting for you!

Supplies

You need 2 standard color A4 sheets of paper to make squares for the model, and a ruler / scissors to cut a square from a rectangle. Or maybe two ready-to-fold single-sized squares from some special paper as you like, which are close by size to those which made from A4), differently colored (please choose a color for your taste) - in this case ruler and scissors are unnecessary.
