An annual tradition, the delightfully decorated Origami Holiday Tree has marked the start of the holiday season at the Museum for 46 years now. The theme of this year’s tree is Unfolding the Senses, relating to senses of sight, sound, taste, smell, touch, and balance. Volunteers from around the US and the world fold throughout the year to complete creations displayed on and around the tree. During the holidays, volunteers will be on hand to teach visitors of all ages the art of paper folding.
