King Kong - En Route to the Observatory [pdf]

This is a set of instructions to fold an origami King Kong from a single square (the airplanes are NOT included). The document consists of nine pages and seventy-six illustrations. Although this is a high intermediate level origami project, prior experience with reading origami diagrams is recommended.

Dorothy Engelman commissioned this work for her short film Folding California. It was later formed on a large scale (along with a mobile of paper planes) for a permanent art installation in a Trump residential building.
