This model was previously published in Origami Tanteidan Convention Book 17 and the diagrams underwent a few stylistic changes and minor error fixes.

The bird was based on a long-billed Hummingbird of which the bill is about the same length as the body. It has a rather intricate base that besides the points for the wings, bill and legs mainly focuses on creating a portruding chest that gives the bird a distinct look. It uses color changes for the bill and legs.

The model on the photograph was folded and photographed by Eyal Reuveni.

Use colorful paper about 10" or 24 cm square.
