These four triangle grid patterns require only a grid - and some persistence. Lens Stars, Open Triangle Stars, and two arrangements of Compound Hexagons and Triangles are tessellations that are folded directly on the grid with no extra precreasing.

Crease patterns show several repeats of the motif. Red lines represent mountain folds and blue dashed lines represent valley folds.
