At the origami convention in Cali, Colombia last fall I met a blind origamist who wanted to learn to fold my Bud model. The Bud is a curved origami model that I have always taught by handing out pre-printed computer generated crease patterns for the students to score and then fold. I told him I didn't think it was possible, but then I thought about it some more and came up with a method for both blind and sighted folders to make the Bud without pre-printed patterns. This allows you to fold the Bud in any size from whatever paper you like. Blindfolds will be available for students who want the real challenge! Workshop, with hands-on participation by the students.
