* BROADCAST-- This class will be presented to students in a classroom at the convention site and simultaneously broadcast to an off-site audience on the web. From Microscopic to Monumental: Origami in Wood, Bronze and Steel: Robert J. Lang will speak about his work transforming origami from paper into polymers, wood, bronze, and steel—- many (like White Bison, pictured) in collaboration with master sculptor Kevin Box (http://outsidetheboxstudio.com/). Lang's 50+ years of experience with origami has made him one of the world’s leading masters in the art, with over 700 original designs. Robert has taught, exhibited and lectured all around the world and is the author of 17 books on origami that range from fine art to engineering mathematics.
