An annual tradition for this 52nd tree, the delightfully decorated Origami Holiday Tree marks the start of the holiday season at the Museum. The theme of this year’s tree is Proboscideans on Parade, highlighting a special exhibition on The Secret World of Elephants. A colorful garland of elephants on parade spirals around the tree embracing the thousands of creations on the tree leading to our special proboscidean displays around its base. Creations on the tree were made by volunteers from around the US and the world.
