Kanzashi are traditional Japanese hair ornaments often worn by geisha and maiko. Many components of these elaborate decorations are folded from fabric and can also be used as a brooch or other ornament. They are modular and the folded units are sewn or strung together to form a medallion which represents a flower. Addie will teach a simple flower in this introductory class (not the entire hair piece).
