Conference/workshop regarding a particular approach to creation (design) in origami. You will follow the process I took when creating my model Shopping Bag. During the event, we'll be folding a bit, but also learning some of the characteristics of the Frankensteinian method.

You don't need any particular knowledge in math for the event; there WON'T be much math talk. We will be folding simple to mid intermediate models. If you prefer, you have the option of attending without folding and just enjoy the conference.

To fold the models please have ready:

  1. One 15 x 15 cm or 6 x 6 in square of white/color or duocolor paper, or one a bit smaller than that.
  2. One 20 x 20 cm or 8 x 8 in square of white/color or duocolor paper, or one somewhat bigger than that.
  3. One 20 x 20 cm or 8 x 8 in (or somewhat bigger) square of a heavy-ish paper, for example, Stradream or Elephant hide paper. If you don't have one or the other, any type of paper will do.
  4. Scissors: For a traditional model that we'll fold at the beginning, but if your ethics code forbids cutting you can simply skip this model.

If you have an OrigamiUSA account, you should be able to see the link to the event at the bottom. If you don't have one, or simply don't see the link, please send me an email message expressing your interest in assisting and I will send you the link. My email address is gerardo(a)neorigami.com

Once you have the link PLEASE don't share it to anyone so to reduce the possibilities of Zoom-bombing during the event.
