This twist on the traditional crane is a self standing model that captures the motion of a bird descending on a still lake. This design utilizes both sides of 2-colored paper, one side for the bird and one for the waves.

Supplies:
A single sheet of 6" Kami is all that is required. This model looks best out of paper with different colors on either side; Tuttle's patterned papers work well. If the paper is the same color on both sides, the distinction between the bird and the waves will not be clear. It might be interpreted as a snake man in that case, somehow.
