Swirly Star (modular)

This is an 8-piece modular of intermediate difficulty; folding a unit includes squash folds, petal folds, swivel folds, and partially unfolding and refolding the unit to rearrange a layer. Precision is important for an aesthetic result, as the units are locked by lining up and folding flaps together. In the class, it is possible that not all students will fold all 8 units, depending on their speed, but with 3 units we can learn the lock and post-lock folds needed to complete the model independently.
