In this teaching session we will learn how to make a modular triangular origami box from 11 in by 8.5 in (US Letter) rectangular sheets. A4 (210 x 297 mm) paper will also be suitable for this box. We are making box lid from 3 sheets and box container from 3 sheets.
This teaching session will also highlight the link between origami and geometry. We will also derive a formula for the volume of the box mathematically.
It is available on YouTube: https://youtu.be/S4o6oL4bBB8
For each box we will need 6 sheets (3 sheets for lid and 3 sheets for container)
Printing paper (75-80 gsm) works well, such as Astrobrites (24 lb/89 gsm).
