June 25–28 EDT, Online
Welcome to the OrigamiUSA Convention 2021! Due to COVID, Convention 2021 will be held entirely online.
The cost of registration is $65. OrigamiUSA members will receive a $15 discount. Just as in an in-person convention, there will be multiple "rooms," at least 10, and your registration fee lets you choose to attend any class in any room. You won't need to select individual classes; you can just drop in on any. You'll get access to all of the class recordings after the event.
We are inviting attendees to teach online classes. This is a unique opportunity for anyone, anywhere to apply to teach at an online Convention!
Note that the classes for all three days will be mixed between models, lectures, demonstrations and panels. There is no longer the restriction of past Conventions of models on Saturday and Sunday, all other classes on Monday.
Please read through the Taking Classes and Teaching Classes pages to see how this will work. Key links are below (also in the "MORE" menu at upper right):
- Teaching Classes
- Taking Classes
- T-shirt and Sales
- Other Activities
- Social Media
All classes will be recorded and everyone who registers will receive links to the recordings by July 11.
Key dates and times:
- April 12, 1:00pm EDT — Registration opens
- May 14, 1:00pm EDT — Deadline for teaching submissions
- June 15, 1:00pm EDT — Class schedule is revealed
- June 25, 5:00pm EDT — Convention begins!
Membership in OrigamiUSA is not required in order to attend, but we would love your support. Please join or renew! OrigamiUSA counts on membership dues to cover our expenses and programs. Although you do not need to be a member to attend, you do need a website account to register. Once you are logged in, you can see the schedule in your own time zone (which you can set here). You will also need to be registered and logged in to see the Zoom links for the classes.
