Note: There will be a morning class of 2 periods and an afternoon class of 3 periods. Take either or both; they work the same.The workshop will demonstrate techniques for making tissue foil. You will make several sheets of single-sided and double-sided tissue foil. A selection of different tissue papers will be provided, including various colors and shades and animal prints (zebra, leopard, giraffe and tiger). The aluminum foil sheets are 21 inches by 30 inches and of two thicknesses, 0.001 and 0.0005. The 0.001 foil is similar to thin kitchen foil and the 0.0005 foil is similar to candy bar wrappers. As time allows, you will be taught hands-on techniques of cutting the paper you made, using a variety of different cutting tools such as paper trimmers, hand rotary cutters, etc. If students need more time, I can provide help after each class.
