OrigamiUSA 2009 Annual Convention, June 26-30, 2009, New York City
Since airfares are so reasonable right now, we'd like to let you know more about the OrigamiUSA Annual Convention, to be held in NY at the Fashion Institute of Technology from June 26-30, 2009. As always, Friday evening will be an open house so everyone can get acquainted, see the model menu, and plan their weekend. Saturday and Sunday will have classes on models, and Monday will have lectures and classes on techniques, etc. This year we'll also have a special conference on copyright on Tuesday; details to be announced soon.
Our special guests this year will be Carmen Sprung from Germany and Dave Brill from England. Carmen is an innovative creator and excellent teacher who specializes in sophisticated modulars and elegant objects. And everyone knows Dave, of course, as a respected artist and creator, and author of Brilliant Origami. We're looking forward to their visit. We also anticipate the participation of several international creators for the copyright convention, and we hope that they will also attend the rest of the convention.
Housing will again be available at the FIT dormitories.
Remember that you have to be a current member of OrigamiUSA to attend the convention. Forms will be mailed to OrigamiUSA members and available on the web by the end of April or beginning of May. If you have any questions, please contact the Convention Committee.
