Results of Successful 2016 OrigamiUSA Fundraiser

We are so excited to share with you that we raised $12,405 in our recent fundraising campaign, which ended on December 31, 2016. We started with a $1,000 matching challenge, which was met in about a week. Seeing this success, several other donors stepped forward to offer more matching funds if we were willing to extend the campaign. Of course we were! In total we were offered $3,500 in matching challenge funds, if we could raise $7,000 by the end of 2016. Our successful campaign raised $8,905 to meet --- and exceed --- the challenge. Our final total was $12,405!

We celebrate our generous donors. Because of your contributions, we will be able to work on strategies to further spread the joy of paperfolding, through, for instance, expanding the Origami Connect program, and working to grow and support community origami activities and groups across the country.

Along with donations we received lovely comments about the importance of OrigamiUSA to our donors as well as several interesting suggestions for fundraising. We hope everyone will share thoughts and ideas with us. Your participation, both through your financial support and volunteer time, is essential for our annual giving campaigns and for the health of OrigamiUSA.
