$ Star of David
Tony’s back with another classic model that everyone should know, the $ Star of David by Fred Rohm. Yes, it is out of a single dollar bill, and yes, it has a hole in the middle. Guaranteed to impress your friends, it is unfortunately a little too complicated to leave as a tip (take Mark Kennedy’s class in April if you want to leave tips). Bring crisp bills

Rotating Ring of Cubes
This is one of those classic toys that provides hours of fun and fascination. It looks simple enough, just four modular cubes. But Delrosa will show you how to string them together so that they rotate in an eye-catching array of colors. This class is limited to 8 students.
Origami Ikebana
Do you love origami flowers? Come to the origami ikebana class and share ideas about how to arrange them. We will examine traditional ikebana designs and principles and make our own unique ikebana arrangements. Brad will teach a tulip by Sonobe, a generic “blossom” by Kasahara, leaves of his own design, and if time permits, a vase by Aldo Putignano. Since the focus will be on arranging, please bring lots of your own flowers and a vase for a fuller experience.

Kanzashi
Kanzashi are traditional Japanese hair ornaments often worn by geisha and maiko. Many components of these elaborate decorations are folded from fabric and can also be used as a brooch or other ornament. They are modular and the folded units are sewn or strung together to form a medallion which represents a flower. Addie will teach a simple flower in this introductory class (not the entire hair piece).
