Mizuhiki is an ancient Japanese knot form, typically used as gifts, card decorations, and originally to tie up the hair of the Samurai. Brian teaches decorative designs primarily for pins, and will have magnets and pin backings available to finish up the piece. Each of the Mizuhiki classes is self-contained. That is, one is not a prerequisite for another. In each class, we will learn some basic knots. If you've taken the class before, you may want to start on more complicated forms. I'll be there to help everyone. The website image shows some examples of the types of knots we will be learning in class.
