This model is meant to be folded from one US dollar with dimensions 6.14" x 2.61". However, I recommend cutting a rectangle from a larger sheet of paper for practice. For example, you can cut a rectangle from a US letter-size sheet of paper, 10" x 4.25". An easy way to get a rectangle with roughly this ratio (1+rt(2) : 1) can be found here:
