Chiyogami washi is beautiful paper but often does not result in a sturdy model. Wet-folded watercolor paper is sturdy but bland. Combine both by gluing decorative paper to wet watercolor paper (Canson Mi-teintes) and fold while still damp. Each student will make one sheet of washi/canson laminate, and fold it into a traditional crane. Paper will be provided. Students are expected to know how to fold a traditional crane. Workshop, with hands-on participation by the students.
