Four Twisted Cubes

This model is by Norway's Fredrik Owesen. It is made out of one single square and depicts 4 cubes that are attached to each other but look as if someone had tried to separate and pull them apart by twisting them. The precreasing is simple but it requires extreme accuracy for a good effect and the collapsing is quite a challenge. Even experienced origamists will struggle with it. Some clips might be useful, especially for less experienced students.
