Paper strips of triangles printed with designs in black and white will be provided to make hexa hexaflexagons. Don’t let the name of this class scare you. A flexagon is a folded paper shape with hidden surfaces that appear when the shape is folded and flexed. A hexaflexagon is a 6-sided flexagon. A hexa hexaflexagon is a hexaflexagon which flexes to reveal 6 surfaces. Simple folds, a bit of glue, and you will be ready to flex. Some coloring (I will provide color pencils) of the surfaces will enhance the magic. The photo shows 2 of the 6 surfaces of this hexa hexaflexagon, but notice that a given surface can appear in more than one orientation giving more designs. Each participant can choose 3 strips -- one numbered and two themed.
