This workshop will explore some of the possibilities of modules derived from the waterbomb base -- based on work by Robert Neale, E.D. Sullivan, Philip Shen, et al. The workshop format allows participants of different abilities/interests to learn different models -- beginners can start with simpler ones, while the more experienced can move on to more challenging ones. Models include ornaments, stars, and ball-like shapes, as well as various types of rings -- examples are Robert Neale's "Six Piece Ornament" and the classic Sullivan/Shen "Omega Star", among others. Completing more than one model is common. Students will learn how the Neale ornament and Ed Sullivan's "XYZ" are both members of a "continuum" of models, and other waterbomb based continuums will be discussed. A handout will be provided, , and a major focus of the workshop will be helping students learn how to keep going on their own after the convention.
