Self Closing Box

Folded from a single sheet of paper, this box becomes an ideal gift container for any special occasion. This model was designed and created by Philip Chapman-Bell, but it has also been attributed to Giovanni Maltagliati. An elegant locking mechanism secures the contents of this box in place. Thicker paper such as scrapbook paper will produce a sturdy 3-inch box with a firm lock. Precise folding will ensure that the model will collapse in place and close properly.
