Using an adapted hyperbolic paraboloid unit, we can make an origami approximation of something called a Triply Periodic Minimal Surface -- specifically the Schwarz's D Surface. You don't have to know that in order to fold it, and once you're done it will still look spectacular! Also holds bananas (not provided). Ideally you should know how to fold a hyperbolic paraboloid, or a saddle shape, but this is not required. There are 6 units required for the basic model, 18 units required for the more complex model which will be explained but not taught, with a potential for an unlimited number of units. We will start with 4 square sheets and cut the paper to six sheets of the correct size.
