This design can hold a variety of things, be a unique conversation starter, or both! The method used to make the box will be interesting and fun for any skill level of folders. Any size paper can be used, but from my experience trying to make a new model, smaller dish models make better showpieces while larger models are more effective to use to place items. Printed paper also gives a beautiful presentation due to a symmetric design of the print.
This adorable model results in a dog that stands. This model has landmarks for most of the folds,
This class is co-taught by siblings Felix and Mattie Mueller. Similar to Chris Palmer's iconic flower tower, this model has it all! Action, rotational fractal-like symmetry and multiple layers of satisfying collapses which culminate in an attractive star-like flower model.

Italian creator Luigi Midali's gorgeous 1-sheet Twister Star can be folded for pins, decorations, ornaments, artist trading cards, and greeting cards. This star does not have cuts, glue or modular units. Be comfortable with accurately folding 1 sheet with a series of pre-creases to collapse into a blintzed bird base. There will be series of creases that does not go all the way across the paper; one sink fold, a twist and several squash folds to complete the Twisted Star. For your first star, I will provide 10-inch plain kami to fold during class.
When you return home, it's time to pull out the pretty paper from your paper stash to fold more beautiful Twister Stars! Gradient shaded paper such as corner harmony paper or American mosaic foil works beautifully. Holographic paper gives a brilliant shine; however, the paper texture is springy and can be hard to fold.
A nice looking butterfly with legs and antennae, but not too difficult to fold for an insect.

Created by Phillip Chapman-Bell and contained in the 2022 Convention annual, this pentagonal tato has a puffy star in the center. This model requires skill in folding point-to-point with some accuracy. The teacher is simplifying the diagram and this should enhance the success of participants.
