Last year, FoldFest 2021 pioneered the use of the Gather.town platform to provide an interactive component component to the online event. It was so popular that OrigamiUSA has created a new Origami Café in Gather for people to use throughout the year! During FoldFest Spring 2022, the Origami Café will be available to all FoldFest 2022 registrants, including a special event room open only during the event. We hope that, during the breaks between sessions, event attendees may walk around this virtual world to find old friends and to meet new ones. Attendees can use this space to organize their own mini classes, show off their models, organize folding competitions, or just fold in the company of others. While the Origami Café is always open to people who have registered for that space, the FoldFest room will open from April 22, 1:00 pm EDT to April 24, 5:00pm EDT. Gather.Town works best using the Chrome web browser on a laptop or desktop computer. It does not work well on a mobile device.
