Creating with Sonobe Units

Take the Sonobe unit beyond the geometric model. Create an animal or something from your imagination by connecting units in different ways. Since we will be connecting Sonobe units in different ways, students should be comfortable with creating a cube from standard Sonobe units. Being able to make a tetrahedron with 4 pieces will also be helpful. The instructor will provide some pre-folded units from 3-inch paper for the students to begin experimenting with and will have additional 3-inch paper available for the class to use. Depending on the complexity of the idea, it is possible that students will not complete their entire project within the allotted time
