Self-Similar Octagon Flower

This model is folded from a regular octagon. It involves making the whole crease pattern first and then collapsing. It is self-similar, meaning that the crease pattern can, in theory, repeat infinitely to the center of the paper. (You have to decide how far you want to go!) It is infinitely iso-area, meaning that if folded infinitely to the center and from an infinite sheet of paper, both sides of the paper are folding in exactly the same way. (In other words, what you see in the picture happens on the other side too!) The crease pattern itself is fairly simple to fold, but the collapsing process makes this model complex.
