Origami University will conclude with an exploration of real-world STEM applications of the origami concepts we have covered.
The first half of the day will consist of three STEM-oriented lectures. Each will include a talk and a related model taught by the lecturer.
The second half of the day presents a unique opportunity to hear experts discuss their projects and experiences connecting origami with STEM. After the presentations, we will move into a moderated Zoom Q&A session where you can ask panelists questions about their projects, inspirations, and what they have learned through the process.
The day will conclude with a hands-on design sprint, where participants will collaborate to come up with innovative applications of origami in STEM fields. Using the insights gained from the research panel and lectures, this workshop will include brief brainstorming, sketching and model making. The session will conclude with short presentations from each group, a great opportunity to receive feedback on your ideas and interact with expert panelists.
