An UnConventional (Online) Convention!

June 26–27, 2020

Welcome to UnConvention 2020! The COVID-19 pandemic may have forced the cancellation of Convention 2020, but that's no reason you can't fold with some world origami masters on June 26 and 27! OrigamiUSA has put together a day-and-a-half lineup of online origami classes, featuring:

  • Classes taught by our originally planned Special Guests: Miyuki Kawamura, Jeremy Shafer, Michael LaFosse, and Richard Alexander.
  • Classes taught by our Featured Guests: Beth Johnson and Robert J. Lang
  • OrigamiUSA's Annual Meeting and Awards
  • The 40th Anniversary T-shirt, The Origami Collection 2020 book and PDF, and Gold Mine specials available at The Source.

The entire two-day event is being offered for one low price of only $30. The event will be recorded and everyone who registers will receive the link to the recordings after UnConvention 2020 closes.

Membership in OrigamiUSA is not required in order to attend, but we would love your support. Please join or renew! OrigamiUSA counts on membership dues to cover our expenses and programs. Although you do not need to be a member to attend, you do need a website account to register. Once you are logged in, you can see the schedule in your own time zone (which you can set here).

We are pleased to announce a sponsorship for the UnConvention from Tuttle Publishing. Everyone who orders an Anniversary T-shirt and/or a printed copy of the Origami Collection 2020 book will receive 1 package of Tuttle paper per shipment. Details are on the Sales page.

Tuttle Publishing will also provide twelve of their books and kits to use as Door Prizes. We are calling them “UnDoor” prizes. The 12 winners will be chosen randomly from everyone who is registered by June 24, 2020 at 6pm EDT. Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on June 27, 2020 and notified via email. You do not have to be present to win.
