These classes have been submitted and are in the approval process. Some may not appear on the final schedule.
This whimsical little dragon is folded from a single sheet of paper. Folding includes a simple open sink and a few inside reverse folds. Duo color paper is nice to show off the wings. While it can be folded from 6" kami, I will provide larger paper for your first model.
Italian creator Luigi Midali's gorgeous 1-sheet Twister Star can be folded for pins, decorations, ornaments, artist trading cards, and greeting cards. This star does not have cuts, glue or modular units. Be comfortable with accurately folding 1 sheet with a series of pre-creases to collapse into a blintzed bird base. There will be series of creases that does not go all the way across the paper; one sink fold, a twist and several squash folds to complete the Twisted Star. For your first star, I will provide 10-inch plain kami to fold during class.
The Pelleas Star by Peter Keller has two stars sitting atop a hexagon. The model can be left flat or shaped into a box. In addition to teaching how to cut a hexagon from an 8.5x11 inch paper, the teacher will bring hexagon templates for use in class by students.

Wendy Zeichner (current president of OrigamiUSA) will share this wonderful modular crown desgined by Laura Kruskal. This crown is a convention favorite that makes any event feel like a party. It is folded from 9-12 sheets of letter paper that will be provided by the teacher. This model was Laura's favorite crown.
We will be folding a raccoon, also known as the trash panda, the rascal tail, or Tom Nook from Animal Crossing.
