There are three great opportunities to see origami artwork in connection with PCOC 2021! See below.

Live Exhibition at PCOC

One of the many highlights of this year's PCOC will be the origami exhibition by attendees and special guests, which will also be a great treat for those in the San Francisco area!

The exhibition will be open to registered conference attendees during the following hours:

  • Friday: 3:00 pm–6:00 pm, 8:00pm–10:00pm
  • Saturday: 10:00 am–6:00 pm
  • Sunday: 10:00 am–4:00 pm

The exhibition will be open to the general public during the following hours:

  • Saturday: 11:00 am–4:00 pm
  • Sunday: 11:00 am–4:00 pm

We will allow photography in the exhibition for personal use only. "Personal use" means one's own records and/or posting on one's own non-commercial web page or social network page. OrigamiUSA will also post photographs of the exhibition on our own website (see here for some examples) and social network pages (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).

Photography for commercial use is, in general, prohibited. If you wish to take photographs for eventual commercial use, you must obtain permission from both the folder of the works and, if different, the creator of the original artwork.

Origami artwork is fragile and easily damaged; for this reason, there is no touching or handling allowed of the origami works on display without permission for any reason. If you are photographing a work and you want to move it to get a better angle or backdrop, you must obtain permission from the artist to do so.

See here to reserve your own exhibition space at PCOC 2021.

Online Exhibition

We're having an online Exhibition to go with PCOC 2021! Registered users (both in-person and online-only) can upload photographs to the Exhibition Gallery. Users can upload something that they're teaching or just something that they'd like to show off.

In addition to the gallery that will display all submitted photos to PCOC, each registered participant has their own personal gallery (see link(s) below) that displays just their own submissions. You are invited to share links to this collection on social media or elsewhere.

See here to submit your own photos to the Online Exhibition.

Local Exhibition at the Asian Art Museum

During PCOC 2021, the Asian Art Museum will hold a special exhibition of the works of our two Special Guests, Tomoko Fuse and Robert J. Lang: Compositions-Contemporary Origami Masterworks, October 28th through November 8th. This "Pop-Up" exhibit features the Origami works of contemporary masters Robert Lang, Tomoko Fuse, Goran Konjevod and Linda Mihara. A visit to this exhibit will be a part of the Monday Tour! Check the museum’s website for the most up-to-date hours.

If you have any questions about any of the above, please email pcoc-exhibition [at] origamiusa.org.
