Special Guests

PCOC 2021 is proud to announce the following special guests:

Tomoko Fuse

Tomoko Fuse is a leading origami artist, teacher. She is also a prolific author who specializes in boxes and other forms of geometric, three-dimensional design. She has been writing books on various forms of origami for over 35 years. Her creations have been in many international exhibitions worldwide; and she has been the guest of honor at virtually every origami convention.

Tomoko Fuse discovered origami at a hospital when she was 7 years old, and started creating soon after. Her first book was Akira Yoshizawa's "Origami Tokuhon", gifted by her father. Her interests have expanded over the years, from creating origami faces, to modulars, spirals, and even modular industrial design.

Robert J. Lang

Robert J. Lang has been folding origami for over 50 years and is now recognized as one of the world’s leading masters of the art. He is noted for designs of great detail and realism with work that combines aspects of the Western school of mathematical origami design with the Eastern emphasis upon line and form to yield work that is distinctive, elegant, and challenging to fold. He is also active in the science and technology of origami, having authored, co-authored, or edited numerous papers and books on origami mathematics, science, and technology.

These folks are planning to come to PCOC 2021 to present and/or teach. Are you a designer and wish to let the community know that you will be at PCOC 2021?
