PCOC 2015 Food

During the PCOC event there will be many meals to enjoy with your friends. Here are the details. You will order these meals on the Registration page.

Thursday evening Boulder Locavore Reception

An elegant wine and cheese reception

  • Artisan cheese and crackers, including flavored local goat cheeses
  • Fresh fruit
  • Two drinks per person of either craft beer, house red or house white wine or soft drinks.

Friday evening Reception (included in the Early Bird)

A cocktail party with enough food that you could call it dinner!

  • Vegetable crudité
  • Arepas with pulled pork filling
  • Taco bar - hard shell taco with ground beef, refried beans, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions, black olives
  • Mashed potato bar with the same fixings as the taco bar
  • Cash bar offering beer, wine, soft drinks

Saturday evening Banquet (included in the Early Bird)

A three-course sit-down banquet.

  1. Mixed green salad - with shredded carrots, cherry tomatoes, strawberries and walnuts with raspberry vinaigrette
  2. Choice of main dish:
    • Beef tenderloin medallions with a rosemary demi, roasted red potatoes and sesame seed green beans.
    • Roasted chicken breast with tomato au jus, roasted red potatoes and sesame seed green beans.
    • Vegetarian option: vegetable tower with black beans roasted vegetables with pomodoro sauce and sesame green beans
  3. Dessert: cheesecake with fresh fruit compote

Includes: Coffee, decaffeinated coffee, hot tea, iced tea, and a cash bar with wine, beer and soft drinks available before and during dinner.

Grab-n-go breakfast

Breakfasts are available Saturday and Sunday morning. Choices for Saturday are:

  • Breakfast sandwich with sausage, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, croissant bread
  • Breakfast burrito - includes flour tortilla, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bell peppers, shredded cheddar mix
  • Vegetarian burrito - includes flour tortilla, tofu, potatoes, bell peppers, refried beans

Choices for Sunday are:

  • Breakfast sandwich with bacon, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, croissant bread
  • Breakfast burrito - includes flour tortilla, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bell peppers, shredded cheddar mix
  • Vegetarian burrito - includes flour tortilla, tofu, potatoes, bell peppers, refried beans

Grab-n-go lunch

Lunches are available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All lunches come with a garden salad with dressing, whole fruit, bottled water or soft drink. Sandwiches are served on artisan bread, choices are:

  • Roast beef with cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato
  • Turkey with swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato
  • Vegetarian - roasted vegetables: slices of zucchini, yellow squash and bell peppers tossed in olive oil and fresh herbs then oven roasted. With spinach, thinly sliced red onions, and basil pesto vinaigrette

Other dining options

There is a restaurant in the hotel. The hours are:

  • Breakfast: 6:30am – 10:30am
  • Lunch: 11:00am – 2:00pm
  • Dinner: 5:00pm – 9:00pm

Within a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, there are more than 50 eateries. Choices include but are not limited to Mexican, Cuban, Japanese, Thai, vegan. burgers, pizza and McDonalds. A list will be in your survival guide, available on your arrival.
