6 inch origami square paper of various colors.
Kami paper is OK, but 10" (25 cm) is the minimum size, and larger (30 or 35 cm) would be preferable.
The model is made from a hexagon. Nothing is required of the student as I will provide pre-cut hexagons of Canson art paper. We will be folding an 8th triangle grid in class.
Recommended: scissors, ruler, pencil, favorite folding tools
none
I will provide paper strips. Please bring glue, tweezers, clips, scissors.
2 sheets of Kami, Tant, or Metallic.
One A4 and one A3 format photocopy paper.
Please use a sheet of 6" kami from your survival kit.
6 sheets, 6-inch foil for each student. Ideally, six sheets of same color foil for each student.
No additional supplies are needed.
10"x10" paper is recommended for folding this model for the first time and will be provided, but 6"x6" paper is doable and more appropriate size of a marigold. The leaf is folded out of 1:4 paper (2"x10" to pair with a flower folded out of 10"x10"/ 1.5"x6" to pair with a flower folded out of 6"x6"). A bone folder is helpful but not required.
One piece of Origami paper.
Body 15x15cm / 1 sheets, Lid 15x15cm / 1 sheet, Reinforcement material 7.5x7.5 cm / 1 sheet
Total 15x15cm / 2 sheets, 7.5x7.5 cm / 1 sheet
Standard Kami is fine.

12 to 30 sheets of Kami
Students should bring at least four crisp, foldable dollar bills
Two (2) sheets of 6-inch, 2-sided origami paper (kami)
Bring an uncut square of foil, 10" or larger. Alufoil ("American foil") is fine.
It is folded from a 2x3 rectangle. It can be folded from a 25 cm long rectangle but it will be easier from a 35 cm long one.
Standard single sided kami will work fine. Suggested size at least 6 inch/15 CM.
6" square of Tant or similar in any shade of pink or red. Color copy paper is fine too but needs to be cut into a 6" square prior to class.
Six squares of 4 inch kami will be more successful in learning folds of the units and expanding the star in the final connection of last step.
Instructor will provide 2:1 rectangles

One sheet duo Kami. 6” is best
scissors (to cut out pages)
I will provide (3) sheets of 6" kami for everyone!
6 in is best size. As the paper gets bigger so does the model's structure and ability to stand on its own.
Kami with 2 diff colors will work best.
The color side is the Owl's robe so be mindful of this when selecting paper.

Bring a single 10" square of kami.

Any type of paper should work. The best practice format is a rectangle about 2:1 with the long side at least 12" (30cm). It would be useful to have a scoring tool (bone folder, ball-point pen or anything with a blunt tip). If you want to quickly work through several examples, bring a few sheets that have been precreased into 16ths or 32nds (creases parallel to the short side of paper, all valleys).
~20 square papers (any size bigger than 7cm/2.75in)
3 sheets of 6 inches origami paper, paper cutter. Teacher will also provide the paper needed.
none
Any folding paper will be excellent.
Otherwise just watching our demo is also cool.
Students should bring crisp, foldable American dollar bills. Even borders are desired but not necessary.
Tracing paper, teacher will provide
Bone folder is optional.
6 inch colored origami paper - four different colors.
15cm (6 inch) kami, 5 sheets for the box lid and 5 sheets for the box bottom - 10 sheets total. Standard Kami is fine.
A sheet of paper above 20cm is advised, as there are some parts that get quite small. Make sure the paper is not too thick. There are some color change parts of the dragon, so duo colored paper is also recommended. Kami will still work fine for this model.
Any size paper the participants feel comfortable using will suffice
6" Kami, paper cutter to cut 2:1 rectangles
One square of paper starting on 3'' if you are an experience folder if not, 6''
cutter
tweezers or a thin stick to curve the points

Kami or tant of almost any size will work!
12 or 30 2-inch squares (I suppose we can only start in class and folks can finish their modulars afterwards)
15cm Kami makes a small envelope that can hold folded notes. 24cm Kami might work better for the first try.
Square sheets of papers, ideally non-metallic origami paper, as it can be difficult later in the folding process. Different sizes and colors of paper recommended. (The model in the picture is 7" and is folded from a 10" x 10" square sheet of paper).
Several sheets of ordinary 15cm kami, double-sided 24cm kami.
10-inch paper is recommended but not required
See teacher-provided materials.
Recommended: scissors, glue or double sided tape, your favorite shaping tools, green single color paper, white single color paper.
Optional: water color markers
None

Great Papers: Kami, Triple Tissue
Students should bring crisp, foldable American dollar bills.
Bring four crisp dollars (or paper in that shape).
I will provide a range of paper squares from 20"-27"to a side. Students do not need to bring anything. They will need 24-28 inches width of table space in front of them to fold large squares.
Any size Kami or Tant will do!
One sheet of paper, square. Sizewise, 10" (25cm) would be good for a first attempt. A scoring tool would be useful--anything with a blunt tip, for example a bone folder or a ball-point pen.

Head (12 cm)
Four (or three) squares the same size, and a means of cutting three of them in half (bring your own scissors, or cut in advance), or one square and six 1:2 (or 1:3) rectangles cut from the other three (or two) squares. Suggested starting size is (4 differently-coloured squares of) 15cm kami.
