I'll show how to fold curved lines over a set of pleats. The technique allows "drawing" by creating lines and curves while leaving the pleated sheet mostly flat.
Advisories:
- This uses non-square paper: 2:1 is ideal.
- Please pre-crease a tessellation grid: 16ths or 32nds, only creases parallel to the short side of paper, all valleys.
- This approach does not require a high degree of accuracy. In fact, it may require a degree of letting go of preconceived ideas about how accurately one should fold.

Supplies:
Any type of paper should work. The best practice format is a rectangle about 2:1 with the long side at least 12" (30cm). It would be useful to have a scoring tool (bone folder, ball-point pen or anything with a blunt tip). If you want to quickly work through several examples, bring a few sheets that have been precreased into 16ths or 32nds (creases parallel to the short side of paper, all valleys).
