During Convention homebase will be the Community Folding Room (3rd floor, New York Ballroom). There is where you will find the Info Desk, Silent Auction, Model Menu, and where Special Guest Presentations will happen, as well as daily announcements. There you will also find the Silent Auction, Model Menu, and Info Desk.

Friday

For most attendees, Friday begins at 2:00 pm when Check In opens. Here you will receive your name badge and your Survival Kit. The Survival Kit includes a tote bag, name tag, pen, and a pack of 6" kami. Need some 10" kami? Foil paper? Stop by the Information Desk for a few sheets. Need more? Stop by the Source to buy some!

If you are exhibiting your artwork or volunteering your weekend may begin earlier than 2pm. Check My Volunteering to make sure you know where you’re reporting to when.

Please note that the Exhibition is no longer open to attendees or the public on Friday night to better accommodate artists who are exhibiting their work, but we will see you Saturday morning! And remember, the Community Folding Room is open until midnight.

Saturday

The Community Folding Room is open starting at 8:00 am on Saturday and classes start at 10:00 am. If you were not able to check in on Friday check-in is available until 10:00 am. Any assistance you may need with choosing or changing classes can happen at that time, too. Opening remarks will give you a sense of what will be going on for the day. Activities outside of classes on Saturday include the ATC Card Swap, PinsPLUS Exchange, and TAROS. Origami USA also holds its Annual Meeting after classes end for the day. Don’t forget to check out the exhibition and The Source as well.

Please note: voting for the Board of Directors will take place only during the Voting Session from 12:15 pm–1:45 pm in the New York Ballroom, 3rd floor. Results will be announced during the second session of the Annual Meeting, which will take place from 5:30 pm–6:30 pm.

Otherwise, Sunday’s schedule is much like Saturday’s. We hope you will participate in the Paper Airplane Contest at lunch. Sunday is the last day for The Source, the Exhibition, and the Silent Auction. In the evening, join us for one of the most loved moments in Convention: Oversized Folding. You won’t want to miss it!

Following classes on Monday evening we hope you will join us for Monday Dinner where we can talk about our favorite parts of the weekend. Afterwards, come back to fold in the Community Folding Room until 8:00 pm. After that you can fold all night in Bowery. Convention ends when the last folder leaves!
