This model features 12 volumes of books (each folded from a single dollar bill) and the bookshelf holding them). The model utilizes the designs in the bill, particularly the Federal Reserve Bank number, which becomes the volume number for each book.
- This will likely take longer than the completed class time to complete.
- While a minimum of 4 bills (3 for the bookshelf, one for a sample volume) is necessary for class, the model requires 12 volumes. Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring lots of their local dollar bills that can be traded amongst other folders. Attendees may leave after completing the bookshelf and one volume, or stay and complete as many volumes as time and patience permit.
Supplies:
Please bring this type of paper: American dollar bills (3 pcs x facsimile bills can be used for the bookshelf, but actual dollars are needed for each volumes
- This is a modular/composite requiring 4 sheets.
- This uses non-square paper: 3 by 7 rectangle (American dollar bills)
