The Saturday night banquet has become a fun and festive gathering for folders at PCOC. Attendees will feast on a delicious buffet while enjoying unique centerpieces folded by the local hosting group. This special evening event also features live entertainment. Included in the PCOC Value Package (PVP) and available to other registrants as an add-on, the Saturday Banquet is an occasion you don’t want to miss.
Banquet Attire
This year we encourage dinner guests to participate in a fun activity: The Royal Banquet.
Sacramento is the proud home of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings basketball team. Therefore, we invite you to attend the banquet wearing royalty-inspired origami. Of course, this could include an origami crown. It could also mean scepters and orbs, coats of arms, tiaras, or other royal jewelry/crown jewels.
- If you need inspiration, consider perusing “Origami Crowns: A Collection” by Laura Kruskal. OrigamiUSA members can download a free copy of this book.
- Members and non-members alike may also download diagrams for Laura Kruskal's King David's Crown
- In case you don’t have anything ready to wear at the banquet, there will also be diagrammed instructions of wearable origami and paper available at the Information Desk.
And don't stress about it, participation is optional.
Entertainment
- Andrew Hudson and the Avalon Swing join together to create some music with an "origami flair."
We look forward to seeing you all at the banquet!
