OrigamiUSA will supply paper, to be handed out by the teacher in class.

Other paper is required; 35cm plain kami will be provided by the teacher and supplied by OrigamiUSA. However, if possible, please bring this type of paper: recommended up to 60cm of a nicer paper. Don't use duo paper (model has unintentional color changes). Bring your shaping tools (ex: glue and tweezers) to get the most out of this class.

Uses 6" kami, provided in the Survival Kit. Also feel free to bring scrap paper - old printer paper or magazine paper. I will bring some as well.

I will provide encaustic medium and paint, as well as paper for use in the class (two sheets per student), although if you have specific paper you'd like to try coating/painting with wax, feel free to bring that and use it (the sheet size is limited to 12 inches in the larger dimension due to the size of the working surface). (In general, uncoated, natural fiber papers work better because the wax infuses into the sheet as opposed to just forming a surface film.)

Glue, tweezers, paper cutter recommended but not necessary. The only part that could use a dab of g**e is to hold the stem together (it’s just a rolled up piece of paper). Tear-agami skill or a paper cutter will be useful to get smaller squares out of an 8.5 x 11 copy paper for the calyx and leaves.
