Turtwig designed by Arjun Patel, on duo green and brown mulberry. Turtwig is a starter Pokemon from the Sinnoh region. I designed this model after hearing the announcement for the remakes of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl video games.
Birb designed by Arjun Patel. I made this after a request on my TikTok (@patelorigami) asked for a birb! According to the Audubon Society, birbs are internet slang for birds that are round, cute, and small. Folded from orange biotope.

This model was designed and folded by me using standard 6"x6" kami paper. I couldn't find a relatively simple anglerfish model, so I tried to make my own, and to my surprise it worked! I even managed to make the lure white.

While I was teaching this model, a student asked if it could be made from other regular polygons. I tried it out, and the answer is yes, but you have to add a sink fold for odd polygons.

Original designs. I designed the cow first and then set about creating a companion model. The challenge was one of scale. The cow was wet folded from a 19" square of Elephant Hide paper, and each egret was folded from a 3.1"x4" bit of thin kraft.
