This class is Gelli plate printing without a plate. We will use acrylic paints, foam brayers and a variety of surfaces to make designs on origami paper (or any other paper of your choosing). Students are encouraged to bring leaves, stencils, origami models and anything else they want to print. Wearing a smock or clothing that you don't care if you get paint on is necessary.
Advisories:
- This uses non-square paper: fun but not necessary
- I will bring acrylic paint, foam rollers and surfaces to roll paint on. Since I am coming in by train and don't want an unreasonably heavy luggage, if people want to bring a tube of paint to share--great. This is a messy project.
Supplies:
As much interesting paper as you feel like playing with--in addition to the OUSA provided materials
A smock or apron.
Newspaper to protect the table
Your own models that you don't mind painting.
Modulars tend to fall apart. I have had wonderful results with a fujimoto tessellation
