Special materials requested by teachers or anticipated for general use (e.g., scissors) must be sorted and organized for easy distribution on each morning when classes are being offered. There are 2 categories: materials ordered by specific teachers and general materials that may be requested on site, such as scissors, glue, large sheets of paper for demonstration. The work is done on Friday morning of Convention and requires approximately 2-3 hours. There will be printouts provided that 1) identify the teachers, their requirements and the source(s) of their materials and 2) catalog the contents of the Teaching Supplies boxes. Labels with relevant information will also be provided. Serena LaVine will be available to provide the printouts and share the methods of organizing the materials used in the past. Task: Collecting and Organizing Teaching Materials
Collecting materials ordered from the Source and retrieving the 3 Teaching Supplies boxes from the Info desk area. Box 1 contains “tools” such as scissors, glue, rulers, chalk, dry markers; Box 2 contains paper of various types; Box 3 is used to organize the materials for the specific teacher requests. The contents of Boxes 1 and 2 have been catalogued and documented. Boxes 1 and 2 are quite heavy. Box 3 must be set up from the materials in the other 2 boxes or from materials ordered from the Source or specially ordered materials. General supplies must be set up in containers (found in Box 3) or selected from Box 2 (paper) and placed at the Info desk.

Task: Distributing Teaching Materials
Provide materials as requested by teachers. Materials that have been requested by teachers prior to the Convention weekend will be labeled with their name. Other general materials such as scissors, large sheets of paper or dry markers will not be pre-labeled by teacher name and are to be given to teachers as they ask for them.
