The Amazing Race Origami Style
Get ready to compete in The Amazing Race with an origami twist.
Who: Teams of 3
What: Work together to complete fun tasks all related to origami.
Where: New York Ballroom.
When: Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 8:00 pm.
Why: For folding camaraderie, to test your abilities and maybe show off a bit.
How: Register your team at the information table before 8:30 pm on Saturday. Your team will be assigned a passport and a starting station. You will have 5 minutes at that station to complete the task. If you complete it successfully, the station judge will sign your passport. All teams will move to next station after 5 minutes,whether they receive a signature or not.
Once all teams have tried all stations, the team/s with the most accomplished tasks will be crowned winners. The winners will immediately be taken to a Lear jet and flown to the Maldives for a week (*) while the other teams stay in the Ballroom to enjoy more folding.
All tasks are origami related and open to all ages and skill levels.
No pre-conference preparation is needed to participate.
If you choose not to compete, we hope you will watch and cheer on the teams.
(*) Lear jets and Maldives availability permitting, of course.
