Although Convention registration will open May 28, 1:00 pm EDT, we encourage early registration for the hotel, as the room block may sell out. Rooms can be canceled without penalty up until 72 hours (3 days) prior to 6:00 pm EST of the check-in day, so there is no downside to reserving early. The OrigamiUSA rate is available from the night of July 16, 2024 through the night of July 25, 2024, for those who wish to explore the city before or after the convention. There is also a limited number of rooms available at our room rate for 3 days before and 3 days after this timeframe.
If you already have a reservation, but are planning to cancel, do not contact the hotel or cancel online; instead, please contact the convention committee at convention-info [at] origamiusa.org, as we will be able to transfer your reservation to another attendee.
Where to Go When You Arrive
When you enter the hotel, check-in is on the left; banks of elevators are on the right.
At the end of the main lobby, there is a ramp off to the right, which you will follow to get to the Convention activities (typically after you've dropped off your bags at your room).
Elevators
The elevators in the hotel are somewhat unusual. First, there are two separate banks of elevators that access different sets of floors, so when you learn your room, check out which bank of elevators to use for your room and events.
Second, instead of selecting your floor inside the elevator, you'll push a button for your floor outside the elevator, then watch for the elevator to arrive that will include your floor as a destination (your floor number will appear outside the elevator). Once you're inside an elevator, there's no way to select a different floor.
Parking
Parking is $75 per night for hotel guests. Here are some alternatives:
Daily Parking: Many nearby parking lots are less expensive than the hotel. Google lists many options.
Overnight parking: Most nearby private facilities are as expensive as the hotel (see previous links). You might consider driving to the NY Waterway ferry terminal in NJ, parking there, and taking the ferry to NY Midtown. Waterway buses will drop you only a few blocks from the hotel. Overnight parking is $20 per day, and the ferry is around $10 one-way.

- Classrooms on this floor are Madison and Park Suites.
Lower Level
- This floor is all classrooms.
- The Airplane Contest will be done in the hallway on Sunday at 12:15pm (meet outside Bowery).
- On Monday night from 8:00 pm–midnight we will have Late Night Folding in Bowery.
Food
On Monday night, we will hold a celebration dinner at Carmine's, a nearby restaurant. Sign up on your registration form; details are here.

In the hotel lobby there are two places to get food:
